6U Viper MPC8548E PowerQUICC III Safety Critical Processor

The G4V-VPX Viper Single Board Computer from Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions incorporates the fastest most efficient 1.2 GHz Freescale MPC8548E PowerQUICC III processor with an extensive I/O complement to provide a highly capable processing platform. This DO-178B Level A safety critical processor is ideal for flight controls and mission avionics applications. Operating systems available include VxWorks 6.x and VxWorks 653. This 6U VPX SBC is ideal for use as an application specific compute blade or an intelligent I/O blade. This 6U low power SBC supports two PMC sites at up to 99MHz. The Viper's balanced complement of I/O includes Gigabit Ethernet, six UART serial ports, dual MIL-STD-1553, and TTL DIO. The Viper is available in rugged air and conduction-cooled models.
