VXS Enclosures
Today’s applications are breaking traditional thermal barriers. Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions' Hybricon brand standard air-cooled and conduction-cooled VXS chassis are available in ATR, rackmount and desktop styles. Cooling types span a wide range including baseplate conduction, forced air conduction, liquid conduction, air cooled, liquid-air heat exchanger, and air-air heat exchanger. Standard rack mount enclosure sizes range from 1U to 13U height, while standard ATR enclosures range from ½-ATR to 1-1/2-ATR.
We offer a selection of air-cooled and conduction-cooled standard VXS chassis (also known as enclosures). These chassis support VXS (VITA 41.x) backplanes and hybrid bus structures. VXS enclosures are available for conduction cooled modules, air cooled modules, or hybrid types with a mixture air cooled and conduction cooled modules, with power from 200W to >2000W and slot counts ranging from 6 slots to 21 slots. ATR chassis range from ½-ATR to 1-1/2-ATR, and rack mount sizes include 1U to 13U height. Many standard enclosures are ruggedized to MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, MIL-S-901, MIL-STD-1399, and RTCA/DO-160.
