Small Form Factor Enclosures
The Hybricon Small Form Factor (SFF) Baseplate Conduction Cooled Chassis was designed for rugged airborne and ground mobile applications. These SFF enclosures (also known as standard chassis) include our 4-slot SFF-4/LW and 6-slot SFF-6 standard chassis. These rugged chassis offer extended temperature, shock and vibration tolerance.
The SFF-4 chassis supports 4/5 3U slots [OpenVPX (1" pitch) or CompactPCI] in a small form factor baseplate cooled rugged enclosure. The chassis supports 3U conduction-cooled payload and includes a 200W conduction cooled power supply that accepts MIL-STD-704F or MIL-STD-1275B 28VDC power input.
The SFF-4LW is a small form factor baseplate conduction-cooled chassis wtih CoolWall technology. This enclosure supports 5 slots of 3U boards (4 payload slots of 1" pitch and 1 power supply slot). It also supports Curtiss-Wright's Power and Control Module for system monitoring.
Curtiss Wright Controls Defense Solutions' SFF-6 enclosure supports 6/7 3U slots [OpenVPX (1" pitch) or CompactPCI] in a small form factor thermally enhanced baseplate-cooled chassis. The enclosure supports 3U conduction cooled payload and a 400W conduction-cooled power supply that accepts MIL-STD-1275B or MIL-STD-704F 28VDC power input. The SFF-6 utilizes CWCDS' patent pending CoolWall technlogy using a mixture of thermally enhanced composites to improve thermal performance and reduce weight.
