ATR - Air Cooled Enclosures
Curtiss-Wright offers a wide variety of COTS enclosure solutions based on our expansive design of ATR’s and ATR style type Enclosures. The cooling methods for these ATR chassis include air-cooled, conduction cooled, forced air, forced air with air-air heat exchanger, liquid cooled, liquid with liquid-air heat exchanger, & baseplate conduction-cooled. Our ATR’s are “design to meet” Mil-STD specifications such has: MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-901, AND MIL-STD-810 Designs. We offer solutions for chassis/enclosures that must withstand harsh environmental conditions: low / high temperatures, high altitudes, EMC, shock & vibrations, humidity, salt fog, fungal growth, thermal shock, and sand and dust. Utilizing existing designs we can deliver from concept to finish product within a timely manner.
Value Added Services:
- Integration: Curtiss-Wright also offers to configure the chassis/enclosure with customer specific payload. Allow us to provide you with, not only a custom chassis built to your specifications, but also integrate the chassis, load the Operating System, and perform testing.
- In-house environmental stress screening: We have the capability to run ESS (Environmental Stress Screening) on all our production chassis.
- Conformal Coating: AR (Acrylic), SI (Silicone) and UR (Urethane)
Specifications
- Size: 1/2 ATR, 3/4 ATR, 1 ATR, long & short ATR
- Supports Bus Structure: VPX (VITA 46), OpenVPX (VITA 65/68), VPX-REDI (VITA 48), VME64x, VME, VXS (VITA 41) or CompactPCI
- Cable-free Enclosure: This design feature improves reliability by eliminating one of the most common sources of failure - the interconnecting cables. It also reduces overall size. Custom front panels can be designed to accommodate customer-specific applications that plug directly into the backplane, reducing the space consumption of the “bend radius” cabling requirement.
