Hybricon ProductThis ruggedized custom ATR solution is a liquid convection-cooled ATR for airborne applications at up to 50,000 feet. It includes a rugged top load 6U 8-slot air-cooled card cage, liquid-to-air heat exchanger, recirculating internal cooling air with two high altitude MIL type fans, a 13-slot custom VME64x backplane, custom 700 Watt liquid-cooled MIL-STD-704A 3-phase 400Hz power supply. This Hybricon chassis is cooled by liquid from the platform, and the air cooled payload is in a sealed internal area that protects the payload from foreign matter. The front panel includes rugged I/O connectors that are connected to the backplane using a flex circuit. This rugged ATR chassis could be adapted for different applications using VPX, OpenVPX, VXS, VME64x, cPCI or hybrid backplanes. The chassis supports rugged environmental levels of MIL-STD-810 for shock and vibration as well as MIL-STD-461 for EMI. Different types of power input can also be accommodated, as well as different levels of payload power dissipation and/or altitude.
