1 ATR Short Liquid Conduction Cooled Enclosure
This ruggedized 1-ATR solution is a liquid conduction-cooled ATR for airborne applications, featuring a top load brazed 6U, 7-slot conduction cooled card cage, liquid cooled chassis sidewalls providing cooling for >100W/slot utilizing Curtiss-Wright's patented low pressure drop liquid cooled technology, a 7-slot custom VXS (VITA 41) backplane, and an 800 W MIL-STD-704 28VDC conduction-cooled power supply. The chassis is cooled by liquid that flows through the sidewall heat exchangers, and the conduction-cooled payload is housed in a sealed internal card cage providing protection against intrusion of foreign matter. The custom front panel includes rugged 3899 I/O connectors. This rugged ATR chassis is adaptable for different applications, with VPX, OpenVPX, VXS, VME64x, VME, CompactPCI, or Hybrid type backplanes. The chassis also supports rugged environmental levels per MIL-STD-810 for shock and vibration as well as MIL-STD-461 for EMI. Different types of power input can also be accomodated, as well as different levels of payload power dissipation and/or altitude.
