Turret Drive Servo System

Turret Drive Servo System

Turret Drive Servo Electromechanical Aiming and Stabilization System

The purpose of the TDSS (Turret Drive Servo System) aiming and stabilizing systems is to ensure that loads are positioned as accurately as possible. The reference position should also be maintained regardless of any interference.

The signal electronics and power electronics process all the signals necessary for automatic control of the drives. The customer interface (CIF) is designed as a project specific I/O board and serves as a link between all external turret components, such as aiming handles, gyroscopes, fire control computers and the vehicle specific signals such as safety switches deck clearance, limit damping etc. The signal electronics is available with different standardized interfaces, e.g. CANbus, MIL-STD-1553. RS-485, RS-422 as well as various analog inputs and outputs.
